These sections explain concepts and terms that are used in the guide, functioning like a glossary. Examples of information included in this type of section include definitions of terms such as VDC, Deployment Template, and Tags. This is designed to help you use the information in the Tasks section more easily.

Tasks

This section is named differently depending on the section of the guide, and contains simple instructions for how to perform common tasks within the scope of the guide. Examples of information included in this type of section include processes for installing the software, creating virtual machines, managing products and product offers, and changing user passwords.

Reference Materials

This section provides reference material relevant to the Tasks, as well as more complex or technical processes intended for advanced users. Examples of information included in this type of section include lists of the fields displayed in the Manage dialog boxes for the various resources, expert installation guides, where to find log files, and how to gain console access to nodes.
