Info: UUIDs and ID's in use in the XVPAdmin interface do not map to UUIDs from the User or Admin User Interfaces as they are separate systems.

The Storage page enables you to view or add storage systems in the platform.  It displays the following information on each storage device configured:

  • Cluster ID
  • Name
  • Type
From here you can add an additional storage device or manage an existing device.

Adding a new Storage Device

Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator can support direct storage integration into the following systems:

  • Nexenta Stor
  • Oracle Open Storage
  • Any VMWare Compatible storage array
Flexiant also has an Solaris based storage driver for testing purposes only called 'FlexiSan'.  If you wish to use FlexiSan please contact support@flexiant.com.
For proof of concept and production use Flexiant recommended Nexenta.

Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator can also integrate into almost any other storage system by using a Storage gateway

When you select add you are then given the following options:

  • Select the Cluster for the Storage System
  • Name
  • Type (as above)
  • Driver Data (if required)
  • Management LAN IP Address
  • Management User
  • Management Password
  • IQN Path
  • Storage LAN IP Address (x 4 for redundancy if required)

Not all of these options will be applicable for each type of storage, please check with support if you have any issues.

 

Managing an existing Storage Device

Selecting any individual storage system will bring up it's details page, including the details as listed above when adding a new device.  From here you can update the following if required.

  • Management IP address
  • Username
  • Password
